I recently graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in teaching History and English as a Second Language (ESL). I have had previous experience teaching social studies, mainly in the area of geography, and working with students that speak English as their second language. I am also fluent in Spanish. The 2012-2013 school year was my first year teaching at WPCS, and I really enjoyed it! I look forward to this upcoming year and helping students to reach their potential. I love it when I see that a student understands the material. I strive to achieve this through interactive learning and different activities to help the students remember the material not only for the test, but for the rest of their lives.
This year my goals are to integrate more technology into my classroom with lessons and projects. Through this technology, I will be able to keep in touch with parents better as well and let them know what is going on in the classroom.
