White Pine Administration
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
What a thrill it is to be here at White Pine Charter School! With the incredible support we receive from the community, the superb teachers and staff, and the excellent direction from our school board and education council, I sincerely believe that the sky is the limit. By way of introduction, my name is Terry Rothamer and I have an extensive background in education, business, and technical consulting where I had many diverse and rewarding opportunities. I believe that all these experiences have prepared me for the dynamic and exciting opportunity of leading a top-notch charter school.
I have seen first-hand the challenges our students will face and know the urgency of developing critical thinkers who can succeed in this increasingly complex and changing society. As Alvin Toffler stated, "The illiterate of the future will not be the person who cannot read. It will be the person who does not know how to learn." I truly believe that White Pine has incredible potential to effectively adapt and meet our student’s needs. Creating a warm, safe, challenging, and dynamic environment for both students and staff are my top priorities.
My wife and I have two wonderful children (1st and 6th grades) and relocated from Arizona two years ago to start a business. We fell in love with the area and people of Idaho Falls and look forward to raising our family in this community. We love reading, movies, spending time outdoors, and most of all, spending time together as a family. Personally, I am a history buff with particular interest in both ancient cultures and American history.
I sincerely look forward to meeting each and every one of you and welcome your honest and open input. I challenge all of us to work effectively as a team for the benefit of our children. Through collaboration and remaining steadfast to a shared vision, we will achieve great things at White Pine Charter School!
