Middle School Science
I was raised in beautiful, small town Mackay, Idaho. After working some fun summer jobs for the United States Forest Service and realizing my passion was immense for the outdoors, I knew I wanted to be a biologist and study science! I attended the University of Montana Western where I graduated with a degree in Biology and a minor in Wildlife Ecology. I was blessed with the opportunity to help research Sage Grouse on a beautiful wildlife refuge, work at a fish hatchery in Mackay, and conduct vegetation surveys across the INL desert. During my time at UMW, I had the great privilege of playing women’s basketball where I was also able to help coach young future athletes during basketball camps and also the college’s community youth league. I have been involved in refereeing sports at the YMCA and have been a substitute teacher here at White Pine for this previous school year. I am now a new teacher here and SO excited to be sharing my passion of science with the middle school students!
