Kathy McFadden
Educational Background: I received a combined Elementary Education and Early Eduation degree from Brigham Young University.
Professional Background: I taught kindergarten for three years before beginning my family. I worked as the technology specialist for Osgood Elementary School for four years and as a reading and math Title 1 teacher at Ethel Boyes Elementary School for 8 years.
Why did you choose this profession: I enjoyed attending school and appreciated the teachers who help me gain new insights. I wanted to be able to do the same for others. I've always enjoyed working with children and watching them learn and grow is an exciting adventure. When a child learns a new concept their eyes will sparkle, their entire body seems to explode and they can't wait to share it with someone. As a teacher I can be part of that exciting extraordinary experience.
Personal Background: I have a wonderful hardworking husband, five daughters, five son-in-laws and seven perfect grandchildren. I've lived in two different countries and have visited every continent but Antarctica. I enjoy reading, writing, and searching for past family members. I make quilts and can food from my garden. I bake cookies but hardly ever get to taste them.
