Tell us something about yourself (NOT school related):
I've been married for 25 years and we have 5 awesome children, all of whom have been students here at White Pine. I love to go hiking, backpacking, camping, and 4-wheeling in the mountains. I also love to read, sew, cook, travel, and spend time with my family. In July 2017 I graduated with my bachelor's degree from BYU-Idaho.
Describe yourself as a teacher in ONE word:
As a librarian - Passionate
Food you could eat everyday:
Healthy: anything fresh from the garden. Unhealthy: pizza, diet coke, peanut M&M's, Oreos, chocolate cake....
If you could only take one book on vacation, it would be:
I'm a librarian, I can't pick just one! The Hiding Place, Anne of Green Gables, Harry Potter (the whole series, please), Wonder, and The Rent Collector.
If you could be any animal for a day, it would be:
A horse because they are majestic, beautiful, gentle and strong.
What made you choose White Pine Charter School?:
I enrolled my own children at WPCS the first year the school opened (2003) because I wanted a school that valued parental involvement and offered more choice and focused curriculum than regular public schools. As a parent I have seen firsthand how WPCS helps students succeed and excel. It's also been a privilege to be part of this great school as the librarian for the last 13 years!

Something about me:  I am one year away from my black belt in taekwondo
Describe myself as a teacher:   invested
Food I could eat every day: chocolate
One book: My Bible
Animal for a day: I have no idea........
I chose White Pine because I like the smaller atmosphere. It's easier for me to get to know the students and what they like to read.
