Diana Hawes,3rd Grade
Diana Hawes Resendiz, 3rd Grade
I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. I speak English and Afrikaans fluently.
I spent my 20s traveling to different countries and gaining work experience abroad. In 2013, I returned to the USA and spent time in Florida and California before settling down in Idaho Falls in 2015. Prior to teaching, I worked mostly in mental health care (i.e. behavioral counseling and case management).
This is my fifth year teaching third grade at WPCS. I am absolutely grateful to be able to do something I love every day!
Many of you may remember me as Ms. Hawes; I married my best friend this summer and so am now Mrs. Resendiz! How cool is that?!
A little bit about me:
I could eat tacos with avocado and sour cream everyday. Yummy!
One word that describes me: energetic… definitely!
I am super outdoorsy… I love hiking, fishing, boating, camping, etc. Pretty much anything that I can do outside in nature.
If I could be any animal for a day, I would be an owl.
I have many favorite quotes but I absolutely love this one:
“Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
~ Albert Einstein
See you in class!
