Scott Minor, Special Education and Foundations
I’ve been a special education teacher for over 16 years. With a passion for working with kids who need added support, I have focused on not only helping my students academically, but more importantly, to help them understand the only limits my students have are those they impose upon themselves. I don’t believe in limits and I don’t want them to either!
I’ve been an avid horseman my entire life and being able to use my horses to help my students in another added bonus!
If I described myself as a teacher in one word, it would be EXCITED! Excited about the future and the opportunities my students!
I went to work at White Pine because of the attention they gave my daughter when she started school there last year. I was amazed how all of the teachers knew who she was in a short amount of time and how they were focused on her success. The academics were pretty rigorous for her, but so were the expectations of the staff. I mentioned to my wife, “If I could go to work for Jeremy Clarke, I would. That is a principal who cares.” Lo and behold, I got the chance to a couple months later and here I am.
