During Saturday School: Saturday school sessions begin at 8:00 am. Students arriving late will not be allowed to attend the session. Only students recovering time are allowed to attend Saturday school - siblings, friends, etc. who are not recovering excessive missed time are not allowed to attend with another student who is. Students will not be using or allowed to have any technology other than school issued Chromebooks which will only be used when necessary for school work. No personal phones, laptops, tablets, etc. are allowed during Saturday school time and may be turned in at the start of the class to be returned at the conclusion. All students are expected to start promptly at 8:00 am but may leave after the required number of recovery hours are met, if the full session is not needed. Students will work on class assignments, writing, reading, other programming provided by the monitor, etc. (students should consult with their individual teachers for help with this prior to the Saturday School session(s). Students may not accrue hours of Saturday school for excessive absenteeism that may happen further into the school year. Each Saturday School class will be assessed with a pass/fail based on reports from the monitoring teacher and based on the students willingness to accomplish the intentions stated above as well as any programming planned by the assigned proctor for the day. In other words - if they don't engage as stated for learning experiences, it doesn't count.
