Administration’s Monthly Message

Positive Impact

“We’ve had five children attend White Pine. This is our seventh year being there. We have been very impressed with the dedicated teachers and administration.  We have liked how the school adjusts according to the student level. They are there to give extra help or challenge academically, according to the need of the student. We also appreciate the communication between the parents and teachers. Emails or newsletters are set home regularly. White Pine has been a good school for my family.”

Answer to Our Questions

White Pine Charter School was the answer to our question… how do we find an excellent classroom setting, high academic standards, with a culture and learning environment that gave our kids the best opportunity for success?  We had tried private school, home schooling, and WPCS was the answer for both of our children.  They continued on through middle school at WPCS and have now successfully transitioned to public high school.

Worthwhile School

“We like that White Pine Charter School offers Spanish, music, gym, art, etc. on a weekly basis. My kids enjoy being able to meet with other classes in their grade and work with multiple people. We love that the teachers work with our kids at their level. They give them assignments catered specifically to them, whether they’re advanced or behind in a subject. There is less lecture and more hands on and imaginative work. We’re very pleased with the academics at this school.”

Pre-Registration and the Lottery!

Parents and Guardians,

We are gearing up for pre-registration at White Pine Charter School and the White Pine STEM Academy. The paperwork will be distributed before Spring Break, so be sure to return it promptly to keep your spot (for returning families). For new families we ask that you fill out the enrollment paperwork electronically on the website or on paper at our WPCS or WPSA locations.

The lottery is set for Tuesday, April 21st. Our administrative assistants will begin making calls the next day. From there we will work our way down the list until classes are full. Feel free to reach out to see where your child or children are on the waiting list. We will need to fill our kindergarten spots quickly as Kindergarten Roundup is Monday, April 27th.

What is Kindergarten Roundup? It is a way for your student to meet their teachers and go through a pre-screening process that is helpful for teachers before the school year begins. Our kindergarten team does an amazing job of communicating with parents where their child should be academically.

Do you have questions? Feel free to call (208-522-4432) or email me (grahamke@wpcscougars.org) personally. Would you like to set up a tour of the school? Use the same contact information to make an appointment. One of the favorite parts of my day is meeting with families to discuss what we have to offer while showing them around.

If you want to set up a tour at the STEM Academy, please contact Mrs. Tyler at tylerde@wpcscougars.org. She is the principal at that site and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

“Success for Every Student” is a lot more than our mission statement, it is our daily focus. We feel privileged you chose White Pine Charter School for your student(s).

Warm Regards,

Ken Graham
